Massive Mary Kay Savings! (Happy Birthday Emi!)

As ya'll may have seen on my social media accounts, my friend Emily is having big sale on Mary Kay all month in honor of her 30th birthday!  Today is her actual birthDAY so in honor of that: a special post on my Mary Kay recommendations!

First up, I think I've mentioned it before, the Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover.

I have been using this since it came in that old school packaging on the left.  (Well....my mom used it on me after ballet recitals.)  I wore makeup so rarely and removed it even more rarely until recently, so I actually still have a little left of that middle bottle, and I'm ordering that bottle on the right during Emi's sale.  This is my holy grail eye makeup remover.  It works even better than coconut oil, though it's not as moisturizing.  It even takes off waterproof mascara and eyeliner in a flash!
I compared this to an eye makeup remover touted as specially for waterproof makeup and you can watch Mary Kay beat the pants off it in my review of Influenster's Frosty Vox Box here.

I'm also a huge fan of Mary Kay's Satin Hands.
I'm ordering this for my wedding so my bridesmaids and I can treat ourselves to mani-pedis at home.  It will save us time and money and the stress of running around the day of the wedding.  I've used it before and the three step system is so luxurious and moisturizing.  It leaves your hands literally as smooth as satin.  Did you catch where I said mani-pedi?  Yes, you can use it on your feet too!  Though, if you are a runner like me (or a dancer or just hard on your tootsies) I would recommend a good Epsom soak and pumice stone first!

Before I found Lush's Cosmetic Lad, this was my holy grail facial moisturizer, and my sister (who has terrible eczema) also loves it for it's super thick and and intense formula.  Behold: the Mary Kay Intense Moisturizing Cream.
You may be picking up a trend by now.  I tend to like Mary Kay's skin care more than their actual makeup, but their lipsticks are pretty and creamy and I'm considering trying out this Mary Kay at Play Triple Layer Tinted Balm in Orange You Lovely.
They also carry Skindinavia's finishing spray, which I LOVE.  Oddly, they don't have their primer spray, and they work best together but you can always get that separately I suppose.

The only thing I would really advise against are their brushes.  The ones I've had have always shed like crazy and they're not very soft :(  Great brushes are hard to find, though, and I'm super picky.  I finally have a sizable collection of Morphe, IT Cosmetics, and Real Techniques so I'm a bit of a brush snob now.

Emily's amazing sale goes through August 30th and if you have any questions about getting the most bang for your buck, simply send her your wishlist and she will sort it for you!

Happy shopping!
