Platinum Status // Ulta // $400
At the beginning of the month platinum members at Ulta got a 5x points bonus to celebrate the holiday, AND they were already also running 5x points for Smashbox, and 40% off NYX, Physician's Formula, and L'Oreal. I went on a massive spending spree and racked up so many points, I don't know what to do with myself. (Other than start working on my VIB Rouge status at Sephora of course!) My haul included the next two items on my list...
Touch of Glow Foundation in Light Medium // Physician's Formula // $15 for 1 oz.
I'm loving this lightweight formula. When I found it, I knew my foundation search for the wedding was over. And look at that adorable packaging! Rose gold is my weakness. I haven't found a real use for the brush yet but it was substantial enough that I haven't pitched it. I use my sponge from Real Technique and only need 1 1/2 pumps to cover my face with a thin layer that just evens out my skin tone. It doesn't rub off (though admittedly I do use a setting powder and a setting spray), doesn't cake up, and doesn't feel gross on my skin.
Airbrush Legs in Tan Glow // Sally Hansen // $13 for 4.4 oz
I had been wanting to try this out and then Influenster had it as a virtual voxbox where they gave out a $2 off coupon for it so I went for it. It's great for not only getting the look of pantyhose, but also for covering up weird tan lines and other imperfections. And it's not just for legs! I used it to camouflage the crisscross lines on my back from running in a sports bra. You just spray it on your mitt, rub it in, and in 60 seconds it's dry and waterproof! (But it comes off easily with soap.)
Speaking of mitts....
Argan Liquid Gold Self-Tanning Oil // Josie Maran // $38
This tanning mitt is so popular people are forking over the $38 for the kit, and then trying to sell the oil by itself, and the kit is always sold out. The only way to get this glorious new tanning mitt is to buy this self tanning kit, or so we all thought. I was scouring all the Sephoras in my area but no one had the kits left, only left over mitts people had used to try the samples. I offered to purchase the used mitts from every clerk to no avail. Finally I gave up, and just whined to one of them about how all I wanted was the mitt and everyone had them but no one would sell just the mitt, and she just gave me an old mitt. I mean, I had to wash it and everything but FREE JOSIE MARAN MITT!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!
It works so stupendously. The outside is plush for an even application, but the inside is PVC plastic, like a shower curtain, and the seams are sewn separately so none of the stain gets on your hands!!!! LOVE!
Coffee from Stanton Isle // Etsy // price varies
I found this Etsy shop while looking for a Fathers day gift for my coffee-loving-Dad and I was lucky enough to try it when I went out to visit him at the beginning of the month. Oh. My. God. Best coffee ever. So smooth. Even when it's black it feels like you're drinking a really high quality latte. No bitter notes at all, just deliciousness. Ahhhh...
