Happy Nurse's Week!

Exactly six years ago I was starting nursing school. (We thought it appropriate to start our professional journey during Nurse's Week, which always ends on the birthday of our beloved Florence Nightingale.)  This year I am happy to be closing my job search and starting orientation at my new position.  It's only PRN, which is a fancy way of saying I don't have guaranteed hours and don't qualify for benefits, but I am over the moon about having a job at all.

I am possibly just as thrilled that I got my shiny new badge in time to snag a free Cinnabon for Nurse's Week (May 6-12).  Yeah, free stuff!
