PopSugar Must Have Unboxing and Review part 2

As I said in my post earlier this week, I bought two boxes from POPSUGAR Must Have this month.  I was super excited for these boxes because the many in the past were AMAZING, but also a little nervous because of the price tag and the fact that the last monthly and special edition boxes fell flat.
How did these two measure up?  See my post from Tuesday about the Summer Special Edition box, and let's get on with the unboxing and review of the June 2015 box!

This monthly version of the PopSugar box had a theme including Sun-Kissed and Yoga Warrior so I was hoping for some self tanning oil, maybe a yoga mat or carrying bag (I even postponed buying a new bag just in case).  I was wrong on both fronts, but what was included was pretty great:

First up: Pacifica's "Enlighten Eye Brightening Shadow Palette" which retails at $14.00.  It has great colors, which I swatched (a little poorly) below.  I didn't have any purple shadows so that made for a fun addition.  I've already tried out a look using the pink and gold that went beautifully with "Kathleen Lights" from ColorPop (which is going to make an appearance in my June Favorites!  Keep an eye out for that!

Then there's the SUPERCANDY from SNAP Infusion.  It's an electrolyte and B vitamin infused gummy that retails for $4 according to the informational insert.  I haven't tried these yet but I am intrigued because I do use gummies to refuel on long runs and I get tired of the same gummies over and over.

I was really excited that they threw in a beach read!  Although I try to be good about avoiding the sun, I have inevitably obtained some pretty unattractive tan lines from running in my sports bras so Jamie and I have been spending time at the pool trying to even them out so I don't have massive criss-crosses on my back for the wedding.
That being said, I was also hearing good things about Judy Blume's new book In the Unlikely Event and had thought about buying it with my Google Play credit, so I was happy to see it in the box this month.  I do love the heftiness of a real book in my hands, especially since I'll only be hauling it to the pool and back.  The informational card says it retails for $27.95 but it's on Amazon for $16.77 and Audible for $26.95 (or free with your 30-day trial!)

The Spongelle "Boxed Flowers-Fleur en Boite" will be regifted because of my sensitive skin but comes in adorable box and retails for $16.00 so it's perfect for a pampering basket.  Also, 10 points for the name ;)

Also included was a "hband" from Yogitoes which was pretty disappointing because all the promotional pictures look like this...
...an adorable tie-dyed blue/purple band.  But mine was just a solid periwinkle blue.  I would've preferred one of Yogitoes absorbent and non-slip towels but oh well.  The headband retails for $4.00

The big ticket item in this box was a pair of Quay sunglasses which retail at $45.00.  Now, it doesn't matter to me because I have to use prescription sunglasses anyway, so these will be regifted, but they sent pretty boring sunglasses given what Quay offers.

Overall the box was worth $110.95 (or $99.77 if you take into account the price difference of the book on Amazon) and I paid $39.95.  I think this was a good value.  Such a good value in fact, that I signed up for a 3-month subscription so I could save a few dollars.

There was also a gift card for $30 off at Sweet&Spark but nothing they have retails for under $30 so it's basically a coupon and I thus will not count it as part of the value.  Currently I'm trying to sell it on swap boards but no one is biting.  That tells you it's true value. :-/

If you're interested in signing up for the monthly boxes, consider using my link here to help me earn free boxes.  Thanks in advance and I'll see you next week for my June favorites!  (Yes, it's already that time!!!)
